Life is Full of Change

This is the first post in my new blog, Full of Change. It has been an idea of mine for the last two years or so, to have a blog and Facebook fan site to promote positive thinking and realize that life is always full of change.

The inspiration for this blog is the small change jar that Tracy and I have used for a long time. It is probably a jelly jar of some sort that we acquired, washed out and started using to store those extra quarters, nickels and dimes along the way.

The change jar came in handy for many occasions when we were low funds or just needed a dollar or two for some expense. It is amazing how a few saved quarters dimes and nickels can save the day! Many a gallon of milk or baby formula in the middle of the night was purchased with money from this change jar.

We even took it along on vacation trips. That little glass jar fits perfectly in any cup holder of any car. It is perfect for holding change for the tollway, a carbonated beverage at the gas station, or anything else change is needed for on the road. Many a tollway basket had a generous contribution from our little old change jar.The I-Pass, however, has taken all this romantic toll paying out of the equation.

Throughout the years this little change jar has been more than a place to store and use change, it has been a metaphor in our lives. We’ve gone through a lot of change in the last 20 years, from kids being born, to moving to new houses or apartments, new cities, new jobs:  you name it.

Saving change, and working through change in our lives, seem to go hand in hand.

So I decided to start this blog, as a way to share the positive energy I have in my life, and to find out how others are using the power of positive energy and motivation to make their lives better as well.

What I hope to do, is have articles, personal stories, and contributions from others which tell the tale of how you overcame adversity or stuck through a tough spot to get to where you are today.

It doesn’t hurt to save a little bit either. I am a firm believer in saving money for the future. You never know when you will have something go wrong with the car, your house, or need some emergency money of some sort. You may also just want to save up to have fun, or to reach a financial goal. The best way to do this is through using a budget, saving wisely and then spending your money wisely after looking at all the options.

So here we go! I hope you enjoy it!
